Operation Hug-a-Hero -------and a freebie!

Today I want to let you all know of a sweet charity that many designers (including our very own Ryan of Roseytoes Designs) are contributing mini kits to add to a mega kit. The charity is Operation Hug-a-Hero, you can read all about it here. Here is a preview to the entire mega kit that you can find at theStudio for only $5.00, and 100% of the proceeds are donated to Operation Hug-a-Hero. That's an awesome deal!

Here is Ryan's contribution to the mega, such a cute little mini.

So, I, of course, decided to do a LO with the mini. It was kinda hard for me, cuz for some reason all I could think of when looking at the kit and charity was my dad. He used to be my hero, as you might be able to tell from the photo, not so much anymore though. There's been a ton of things and people come between us, and there's alot of hurt and pain I can't seem to let go of for whatever reason. This photo is from the 70's, when we were still close. I haven't seen my dad in almost 20 years. He has a new family and new life, and well, that's about it.

So you know I couldn't resist doing a QP as well, so here's a little freebie for you all - Enjoy!

Welcome Isabella!

Isabella is finally here!! She was born this past Monday evening, 7lbs 4oz, 21 1/2 in. long. She's amazingly beautiful! Welcome little one, you are already so loved. My first LO (of many to come) of Isabella is from today (4/16), you can still see the little band-aid on her foot from her Dr. visit this afternoon. She didn't like that visit too much. I used the kit "Perfectly Pink" by Marti scraps.

Plum Krazy and a Freebie

Happy Saturday everyone!! I thought I'd share another QP just for the fun of it. But first let me show you the kit. It's another great kit from Ryan of Roseytoes Designs. There's so much purple! For me that's a good thing, cuz it's the favorite color of two of my daughters as well as the school/team color of my youngest daughters school. So I'll be able to use this kit for lots of photos. There's also lots of blue, which is good to have for photos of my Joey. The kit is "Plum Krazy" and you can find it in her stores at Moo Two Designs or Live Snap Scrap. (right now it's on sale at Moo Two Designs)

As for the LO I made with the kit.......like I said, I have alot to use purple with. This is my daughter, Kadi, in one of her many "self-portraits".

And for the freebie....another QP from my LO.

Long Lost Love Freebie

Thought it was time for another freebie. I'm running low on photos to scrap for myself, and I've posted a few QP's already, so to satisfy my scrapping need and freebie time I decided to put together some cluster frames. I used "Long Lost Love" by Roseytoes Designs again - one, because it's such a great kit, and two, because you can still get the kit for free by visiting The Daily Scrapper where Ryan is being featured. Enjoy!

Brownie Scraps Challenge

So at Brownie Scraps there's all kinds of monthly challenges, one is the "Unbaked Brownie Challenge" where there is a given color palette and you're encouraged to either design a mini kit, paper pack, element pack, or do a LO with one that someone else has designed. This is the color palette for April.

And this is the mini kit that I made with the colors.

And this is the first LO I've made with the kit

Of course I have to make a QP from the LO =)

Spring Has Sprung!

Good Morning and Happy Easter!

Before I head off to sleep I thought I'd get a head start on the Spring LO's and kits. Ryan has an adorable new kit, "Spring Has Sprung". I can't wait to do all of my Spring-y and Easter LO's with it.

Here's the first LO I've done with the new kit. This is my daughter Liz with her "in-laws" (for lack of a better term), the baby's other Grandma and Aunt Liz. They are both very excited for Little Isabella's arrival. Not as excited as I am, of course, but still excited.

And of course I've made the LO into a QP to share with everyone.

Time to catch up....Long Lost Love, and a freebie :)

I'm sooooo far behind in my posting and blogging (ha ha, even in my laundry and other chores). I'm going to try and use the next couple of days to get caught up on everything!

Let me start by saying that Ryan of Roseytoes Designs has been extremely busy creating some amazing new kits (so she's not really helping me catch up, rather helping me fall further behind, lol). But, with all her new kits that means lots of new QP's and LO's and other fun stuff for everyone. Who couldn't love that?! I'm so happy to be on her CT.

I'll begin with the kit "Long Lost Love". It's so beautiful. To me the colors are so warm, welcoming and "cozy" - if you can say that about colors.

You can find the kit in Ryan's store at Moo Two Designs.

Here is a LO I did with the kit of my daughters baby shower. It was also for a challenge at Brownie Scraps that we had to use out of the ordinary shapes for the entire LO....no circles, squares or rectangles.

Here's another LO with the same kit. These are the beautiful roses my daughter gave to me for my birthday last week.

And for an added bonus, here's a QP made from that LO. Enjoy!!
